Liverpool full-back Jon Flanagan is excited at the prospect of making his England debut this week.

Flanagan has travelled with the England World Cup squad to Miami as a standby as they prepare for the big event that starts next week.

The right-back has garnered widespread praise for his performance for Liverpool this season where he made 27 appearances for the club.

The Three Lions will play two more warm-up games before the World Cup, against Ecuador on Wednesday and Honduras on Saturday, and Flanagan might make his international debut in one of those games.

"Coming away with your country, it doesn't get much better than that", Flanagan told Liverpool’s official site.

"There are top players from all around the country, so training with them is really good.”

Flanagan is excited at the prospect of making his England debut and has said that he will give his best shot if he finally gets the opportunity.

"There are another two games before we go home so if I get the chance to make my debut it will be a dream come true.
