Espanyol are interested in signing former Liverpool forward Dani Pacheco from Spanish second tier side Alcorcon this summer.

Pacheco joined Liverpool’s academy in 2007 from Barcelona’s La Masia and made his first team debut in 2009 against Fiorentina in a Champions League fixture.

The Spaniard spent time on loan from Liverpool at a number of clubs such as Norwich City, Atletico Madrid, Rayo Vallecano and Huesca.

The 23-year-old joined Alcorcon on a permanent deal last summer, after only making five league appearances for the Reds.

Espanyol are looking to bring the ex-Liverpool player to Barcelona this summer and have already made enquiries about the 23-year-old, according to Spanish daily Marca.

The forward made 36 appearances for Alcorcon in Spain’s second division this season, scoring seven goals and providing six assists.
