Celtic’s search for a new manager may be reaching its conclusion as Ronny Deila is all set to become their next boss.

Deila has travelled to Scotland to complete the move, but it is still not clear whether Celtic and Stromsgodset have reached an agreement over the compensation to be paid.

The 38-year-old’s agent, Tore Pedersen, is in Glasgow to finalise a contract with the club and Deila could even be announced as Celtic’s manager today after he arrived last night, according to Norwegian broadcaster NRK.

Celtic initially contacted the Norwegian outfit on Tuesday to seek permission to talk to their manager.

Yesterday, Deila maintained that he had not been approached by Celtic and he is unaware of any contact between the club and Stromsgodset’s management.

The Hoops have been without a manager since Neil Lennon decided to leave his post last month through mutual consent.

Last year, Deila masterminded Stromsgodset’s first league title in 43 years and also won the Norwegian Cup in 2010, the club’s first since 1991.
