Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has ruled out any transfer for midfielder Marco Reus this summer, despite links with Barcelona and Manchester United.

Reus recently suffered an ankle injury which has ruled him out of the World Cup in what is a big blow to the Germany squad.

He has continued to stay in the limelight though on account of being linked with a move away from Dortmund.

And that, not least suggestions from Spain that Barcelona have reached an understanding with Reus, have forced Zorc into a statement clarifying Dortmund's position.

"I can definitely rule out a transfer in the summer", he told Bild, when asked about Reus.

Reus is under contract at Dortmund until 2017 and the club are loathe to lose him this summer, having already seen striker Robert Lewandowski depart for Bayern Munich.

Last year Dortmund lost Mario Gotze to the same club.
