Inter Milan have contacted Stevan Jovetic’s agent to enquire about a potential move for the Montenegrin this summer.

Jovetic joined Manchester City from Fiorentina last summer for a transfer fee of £22m and has a contract until 2018.

However, the 24-year-old has failed to nail down a place in the Manchester City first eleven due to injuries and only made 18 appearances for the club last season.

Inter are looking to bring the striker back to Italy and their sporting director Piero Ausilio has already talked about a possible move with the player’s agent, Fali Ramadani, according to Tuttosport.

Ausilio has assured the Ramadani that Erick Thohir, the club owner, is looking at Jovetic’s transfer as an integral part of Inter’s rebuilding process.

After a season out of the spotlight and with Inter’s assurances, Jovetic might consider moving back to Italy this summer, where he tasted success with Fiorentina.
