Galatasaray have announced the departure of Roberto Mancini from the club after only one season at the helm.

Mancini took over as the manager at Galatasaray in September last year and won the Turkish Cup in his first season at the club.

The Italian won the first 12 home matches of the season with the club, including a 6-0 win over Bursaspor.

However, Galatasaray have announced that Mancini is relinquishing his duties as manager by mutual consent.

Before taking over Galatasaray last summer, the Italian had a fruitful spell at Manchester City where he delivered their first league title in 44 years in 2012.
