Barcelona target Marquinhos has indicated that he will remain at Paris Saint-Germain beyond this summer.

Barcelona are desperate to sign a central defender and are hot on the heels of the Brazilian defender.

The 20-year-old moved to PSG from Roma last summer for a transfer fee of €31.4m on a five-year deal and was tipped as the future of the French side's defence.

PSG’s recent acquisition of fellow Brazilian defender David Luiz from Chelsea has put a question mark over the youngster’s future at the club however.

But the player has said that his future will be decided by the Parisians, while admitting that he is likely to stay at the club.

"I have a contract with PSG and my future will be decided by the club but lately everything seems to suggest that I will stay here”, the 20-year-old told Sport.

“It is not, however, for me to decide."
