Alexander Buttner has confirmed that he is leaving Manchester United for Russian outfit Dynamo Moscow.

Buttner has struggled to get a foothold at Old Trafford since his arrival in 2012. He has managed only 28 appearances in his two seasons at the club and suffered a blow after the man who signed him, Sir Alex Ferguson, retired in 2013.

With Patrice Evra’s contract renewal and talk of signing a new left-back at Old Trafford, the 25-year-old's future at the club has been uncertain.

However, the Dutch full-back has confirmed that he is leaving the Red Devils for Dynamo Moscow and is set to put pen to paper on a three-year deal.

The former Vitesse man feels that Dynamo Moscow will provide him with the opportunity of playing in the Champions League again.

Buttner arrived at Manchester United from Dutch outfit Vitesse in 2012 for a transfer fee of £4.4m. He still has three years left on his contract.
