Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal has declared that he is confident about his side going “very far” in the World Cup.

The South American nation, who won their opener 3-1 against Australia last week, booked their place in the knockout round of the tournament with a game to spare after beating the defending champions Spain 2-0 on Wednesday.

Chile will next face the Netherlands in a fixture to determine the Group B winner on Monday as the Dutch are also guaranteed a place in the Round of 16 after winning their first two games.

And Vidal, who is hopeful about his side claiming the full three points against the Oranje, explained that Chile are looking forward to playing against the “best teams” at the World Cup.

"We just want to play against the best teams," the Juventus player told FIFA’s official site.

"The Netherlands are a strong team who have won their two matches, but we hope, to get the three points.

“It's a World Cup. You can come up against anyone. The important thing is to keep playing well and if we can do that, we can go very far."

Both Chile and the Netherlands will be looking to top the group in a bid to avoid facing Brazil, who are favourites to win Group A, in the next round.
