Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc is pleased with the signing of Serge Aurier and believes that he will develop into an important player for the club.

Aurier joined PSG from Toulouse yesterday on a season-long loan deal, but with a mandatory purchase option, which will see €9.5m paid for the defender next summer.

"We are very happy to welcome him to the team", Blanc said in a statement issued in the club’s official site.

The former French international defender feels that the Ivorian full-back has the potential to develop into an important part of PSG’s squad in the future.

"Serge is a young man with a huge potential.
