Tottenham Hotspur are ready to offer cash plus striker Roberto Soldado for Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin.

The north London club are eager to add steel to their midfield and have identified the Colombian as a key transfer target.

Juventus might also join the race to sign Guarin if they eventually lose Arturo Vidal to Manchester United this summer.

Spurs are aware that Guarin is in demand after his performances for Colombia in the World Cup and are preparing a bid for the midfielder.

The north London club are willing to offer €12m plus Soldado to Inter for the services of the Colombian midfielder, according to Italian daily Tuttosport.

However, the Nerazzurri are aware of Guarin’s stature in the transfer market and are not willing to sanction his sale for anything less than €18m.

Manchester United have also identified Guarin as a target if they fail in their pursuit of Vidal this summer.

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham are willing to reach deep into their pockets for Guarin, who still has three years left on his contract with Inter.
