Sevilla manager Unai Emery has insisted that he is confident about his side continuing to being successful even without Alberto Moreno, who is joining Liverpool.

The Spaniard has been linked with a move to the Reds all summer, but the clubs were failing to settle on a fee.

However, Sevilla accepted a bid for Moreno yesterday, and as a result the left-back was pulled out of the UEFA Super Cup against Real Madrid last night, a match Emery’s side lost 2-0.

The 22-year-old is now poised to follow Ivan Rakitic, who joined Barcelona, out of the club this summer, but Emery explained that he is not “scared” of the changes.

The manager stated that Sevilla have always managed to bounce back as a strong unit, despite losing a number of star players over the years.

"Sevilla has had outstanding players who have left and Sevilla have continued to be successful", Emery was quoted as saying by FIFA’s official site.

"We could talk about Alberto Moreno, Rakitic, Jesus Navas, Frederic Kanoute, Adriano, Seydou Keita.

“And Sevilla have always returned and come back as a strong squad.

"We know how to rebuild our team and continue to be successful. Change doesn't scare me."
