Bayern Munich and Manchester United are keeping tabs on Olympiacos defender Kostas Manolas, having joined Juventus, Arsenal, Roma and Napoli in being keen on the Greece international.

Manolas' performances at the World Cup further enhanced his credentials as one of the most promising young defenders in European football and Olympiacos are battling to keep hold of their starlet.

Juventus have been leading the race to capture Manolas, however according to Sky Italia, Bayern Munich and Manchester United are now watching developments closely.

Bayern Munich went down to defeat in last night's German Supercup against Borussia Dortmund and boss Pep Guardiola is open to adding another defensive option, having previously been linked with Roma's Mehdi Benatia.

Manchester United have also been linked with Benatia, as they step up their quest to bring new defenders to Old Trafford.
