QPR manager Harry Redknapp has challenged clubs interested in playmaker Adel Taarabt to pay the price demanded, while urging the player himself to get fit.

Taarabt spent the latter half of last season on loan at AC Milan, impressing the Rossoneri and instantly becoming a target for a permanent move.

But the Rossoneri have been reluctant to pay QPR's asking price for Taarabt, who has since been linked with another Italian side in the form of Napoli.

And Redknapp concedes that Taarabt wants to head to the exit door at Loftus Road.

"I don't know what he's going to be doing. He's not fit", the QPR boss told a press conference.

"I think he's looking to move, he wants to move.

"We're just looking for a club to pay the money, the transfer fee the chairman's put on his head.

"He's a good lad, but he just needs to get himself fit now.

"He's not done one day's training since I've been here. He's had injuries."

QPR kick off their Premier League campaign on Saturday by locking horns with Hull City at Loftus Road.
