Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola admits that he still needs time to fine tune his squad ahead of the new season.

The Bavarians suffered a 2-0 loss at the hands of Borussia Dortmund in the German Super Cup last night.




BVB took the lead in the 23rd minute with a goal from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and doubled their lead in 62nd minute with a strike from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Guardiola feels that the German champions started well, but admits that Dortmund were the better team on the night.
 


“Congratulations to Jurgen Klopp and his team”, the Spaniard was quoted as saying by the club’s official site.

“We played well in the first 15 minutes but we had a few problems after that. We dropped too deep in the second half.”

The former Barcelona manager conceded that he still needs time to fine tune the squad ahead of the new season.
