Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers admits he is aiming to add another one or two players to his squad before the closure of the transfer window this summer.

Rodgers has already added seven players to the ranks at Anfield, though striker Divock Origi will spend next term on loan at French side Lille.

Another player is expected to come through the door at Anfield in the form of left-back Alberto Moreno from Sevilla, with the Liverpool boss admitting the deal is all but done.

"[We’re] nearly done", Rodgers told a press conference today.

"A few more things to complete, but more than that we needed to develop the squad this year.

"We needed, irrespective of people going out this summer, we needed to add more depth to the group.

"If we can add one or two more in the areas that we want to, we'll have had a great window.

"This summer will be our biggest window for the next couple of years, so we hope to get one or two more in."

Liverpool start their Premier League campaign against Southampton at Anfield on Sunday.
