Ajax defender Daley Blind has revealed he has no news about a potential switch to Manchester United, despite the English media once again suggesting Louis van Gaal will pull out all the stops to take him to Old Trafford.

Van Gaal's reign at Manchester United got off to a poor start yesterday when Swansea City visited Old Trafford and came away with a 2-1 win in the Premier League.

The former Netherlands boss, who coached Blind at this summer's World Cup, has now been tipped to increase his efforts to secure a number of new signings before the transfer window closes – and the Ajax man is in his sights.

But Blind is still in the dark and says nothing has changed.

Asked about Manchester United's interest following Ajax's 3-1 win over AZ Alkmaar today, he was quoted as saying by Voetbal Primeur: "I have nothing to report.

"I'm happy here."

Blind though will not rule out an exit if a "nice" club present themselves.

"Certainly I don't need to leave and I am happy with all the support.

"But if a nice club comes, then we'll talk. And then we'll see."
