The agent of Cagliari midfielder Adryan has confirmed that he is speaking to Leeds United about his client, with the Brazilian starlet keen to play his football at Elland Road this season.

Leeds president and owner Massimo Cellino has been chasing Adryan for much of the summer, with the Italian supremo enthralled by the playmaker's ability and potential.

Indeed Cellino, along with current Leeds director of football Nicola Salerno, did the deal which took 20-year-old Adryan to Cagliari earlier this year, with the youngster having been tipped for the very top.

Now they are speaking to Adryan's agent and want to scoop up the Brazil Under-20 international, taking him to England.

"We are talking with the club, but nothing has been signed", Adryan's agent Reinaldo Pitta told Isola 24 Sport.

"The boy is not present in England today, but this does not mean that he will not be in the coming days."

And Pitta, who it was claimed travelled to England today for talks with Cellino and Salerno, revealed Adryan wants to play for Leeds, having grown disillusioned at Cagliari.

"It's clear that we are talking continuously with Cellino and Salerno, and that is because the guy wants to play for Leeds, having seen the situation that we have at Cagliari."

Adryan, who turned down an approach from Manchester United in 2012 while still at Flamengo, managed five appearances in Serie A for Cagliari last term before injury cut short his campaign.
