Luis Enrique has revealed that Luis Suarez could make his Barcelona debut in their Joan Gamper Trophy match against Club Leon today.

The Uruguay international, who is currently serving a four-month ban for biting Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup, joined the Catalans from Liverpool earlier in the summer.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) upheld Suarez’s four-month ban last week, but allowed the striker to train and play in friendly matches.

As a result Suarez, who already has had two training sessions with his new employers, may be seen playing for the first time in Barcelona colours in their game against the Mexican champions at the Camp Nou.

“He has been working hard when training alone”, Barcelona boss Enrique confirmed at a press conference on Sunday.
