Liverpool have confirmed that defender Tiago Ilori has joined French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux on loan.
The Portuguese, who only joined Liverpool last summer for £7m from Sporting Lisbon, will spend the entire 2014/15 campaign in France.
Ilori was at Bordeaux's Ligue 1 clash against Monaco at the weekend and was then taken on a guided tour of the club's facilities.
And the centre-back was impressed, opting to join the club.
Ilori arrived at Liverpool from Sporting Lisbon with high expectations and a reputation as a promising youngster.

However, he struggled to command a spot in the first team and was soon sent to La Liga side Granada on loan for the second half of the season.
Ilori will be hoping to clock up regular first team football with Bordeaux.
