Celtic manager Ronny Deila is hopeful his side will capture winger Mubarak Wakaso and striker Stefan Scepovic over the course of the next week.

The Bhoys, who lost 1-0 to Inverness in the Scottish Premiership this week, had been battling to do deals in time for their Champions League playoff tie against NK Maribor, but failed.

Celtic drew the first leg 1-1 in Slovenia and are confident of progressing to the Champions League group stage.

And Deila wants bodies in to strengthen his squad before the transfer window slams shut, with Rubin Kazan winger Wakaso and Sporting Gijon striker Scepovic his main targets.

"We hope things will happen this week", the Norwegian manager told the BBC.

"We're working a lot on this and I think we're going to get things how we want it."

Deila could also make further signings before the window slams shut, although he stressed any captures will only happen if the right players can be identified and are available.

"If we get what we want, we will do that", he added.
