Tottenham Hotspur have announced they have reached an agreement to sell defender Michael Dawson to Hull City.

The Tigers had been hoping to capture the experienced centre-back and have now thrashed out a deal with Spurs which will see Dawson head to the KC Stadium.



Tottenham announced: "We've reached an agreement with Hull City for the transfer of Michael Dawson.

"Everybody at the club wishes Daws every success for the future and he will always be welcome at White Hart Lane."

 


And Dawson said: "I have been here for almost a decade and have loved every minute of it.

"We have enjoyed some incredible moments together and I hope the club continues to move forward in the future."

Dawson joined Tottenham in 2005 from Nottingham Forest and clocked up over 230 Premier League appearances for Spurs during his stay.

Hull are thought to have paid around £3m for the 30-year-old.
