FC Porto defender Rolando could join Everton before the transfer window closes.

The Toffees have been one of a number of clubs keen on the former Inter centre-back and now, according to Portuguese daily A Bola, they are in talks with Rolando's agent.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez is looking to sign a defender before the transfer window closes, having see his side concede six goals against Chelsea at the weekend.

Rolando spent last season on loan at Inter, but returned to Porto earlier this summer.

Porto are open to offloading him and have slapped a €10m asking price on his head.

With the clock ticking it remains to be seen if Everton can push a deal over the line before the window closes.
