QPR manager Harry Redknapp has appeared to take aim at Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli's use of the social network Twitter.

Balotelli took to the social network last weekend to mock Liverpool's rivals Manchester United after they collapsed to a 5-3 defeat away at Leicester City, despite having been leading 3-1 up to the hour mark at the King Power Stadium.

Balotelli quickly tweeted: "Man Utd….LOL". It prompted a string of retweets and favourites on the social network, while the Italian also came in for abuse from rival supporters.

However, Redknapp has hinted that Balotelli may have forgotten the fact that Liverpool lost the previous day, the Reds going down to a 3-1 defeat away at West Ham.

And the QPR boss also insisted there is little chance he will start to use Twitter.

"No chance. I don't even know what it is. I don't understand it", Redknapp told a press conference, on the subject of the social network.

"There's people whose teams just got smashed up and the next day they're commenting on other people's teams.

"And I'm thinking, hang on, you lost last night."

Redknapp's QPR are next in action this weekend against Ronald Koeman's Southampton, something which necessitated the probing on Twitter as the Dutchman is a regular user of the social network.
