Leeds United right-back Sam Byram has expressed his satisfaction at his team's hard-earned draw against Norwich City yesterday.

The Canaries dominated possession for the better part of the Championship match at Carrow Road and even went ahead through an 59th minute Russell Martin header.

But Souleymane Doukara's fifth goal of the season just moments later made it 1-1 and that was how it remained until the very end, earning Darko Milanic’s side a vital away point.

For the 21-year-old, who completed the full 90 minutes during the match, the result was particularly impressive as it came against "a very good team".

"They’re a very good team", Byram told LUTV.

"They should be back in the Premier League with the quality they’ve got so to get a point off them, I think we feel like we’ve done a good job."

Reflecting on the events of last night, Byram added that the pressure his team managed to put on Norwich City in the second half led to their goal.

"In the first half, you could see the width was there.

"The two full-backs were overlapping and I think in the second half when we changed formation a little bit it made us a little bit more compact and stopped them getting out as easily.

"I think the pressure we put on them in the second half led to our goal.

"We did a lot of defending and a lot of people had to put their bodies on the line, a lot of blocks and shots stopped and headers out the box. To get the point, I’m pleased."

The draw means that the Peacocks are now placed 15th in the Championship table with 16 points, while Norwich City currently occupy fifth position with 22 points.
