Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata has revealed that in his opinion the best goal he has yet scored in his career came for Spain Under-19s.

The 26-year-old moved through the junior ranks for his country before finally making his senior debut for Spain in 2009.

His most memorable goal though was for the Spanish Under-19 team, for whom he managed a total of 12 goals in 13 appearances.

Mata specifically remembers one goal which he scored through a chip from midfield, and which he still counts as his best.

"It’s a good goal I’m very happy with."

Mata has managed a total of 10 goals for the Spanish national team since making his senior debut in 2009.
