AS Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim believes that all four teams have a chance to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League from Group C after last night’s results.

An 82nd goal from Benfica forward Talisca turned out to be the winner as Monaco slumped to a 1-0 away loss at the Estadio da Luz.

Reflecting on the match Jardim said that it was an evenly contested fixture, but believes Benfica were more efficient in front of goal which saw them bag all three points.

“It was a very even match, just as it was two weeks ago”, the Monaco coach told UEFA.

“Both teams had chances and Benfica were more clinical. They scored and we didn't manage that.”

Bayer Leverkusen recorded a 2-1 away win against Zenit Saint Petersburg yesterday which saw them consolidate their position at the top of Group C.

And Jardim conceded that the Germans are favourites to go through to the last 16, but feels that all four teams in the group are in a position to qualify.

“At this moment Leverkusen have an advantage given the points they have but it's a very tight group. All four teams will be fighting to qualify until the end.

“Benfica are back on track. As I said, if they didn't win they would be out; as they won, the fight will be until the finish.”

Leverkusen are top of Group C on nine points, followed by Monaco on five points and only goal difference separates Zenit and Benfica, both on four points.
