Nicola Salerno hopes that in Neil Redfearn, Leeds United have finally found the right man to lead the club forward.

The Whites have had a turbulent time on the managerial front this season, appointing David Hockaday in the summer only to quickly sack him, while Slovenian tactician Darko Milanic then lasted only 32 days in the hot seat.

Redfearn, stepping up from the academy to take the job on a permanent basis, is now the new Leeds boss and Salerno is hoping for a period of calm in the dugout.

"Now we hope to have found the right balance", he told Tutto Mercato, when asked about Leeds' continual managerial changes.

"We hope to move forward as much as possible."

The sporting director also insisted that off the field issues, with Leeds owner Massimo Cellino having been asked to step aside from running the club until April by the Football League, will not affect the Elland Road outfit.

"Leeds aren't at risk, it is a previous situation with Cellino that is being finalised", the sporting director said.

"There's no problem for the club."
