Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti appeared pleased with his team’s performance as they dismantled Mexican champions Cruz Azul in the semi-final of the FIFA Club World Cup.

The European champions scored four unanswered goals in a sumptuous display of football to seal their passage into the final, where they will take on winners of the Western Sydney Wanderers and San Lorenzo semi-final clash.

“We had the right amount of quality for this competition. We were strong, focused and organised. The team behaved fantastically out there. They are prepared and always give their best", a pleased Ancelotti told the club website.

On the prospect of winning four trophies in the 2014 calendar year the Italian said: “I hadn't thought about it but we are doing very well this year and there is one match left to finish it off well.

“We are really going to prepare for it because this team deserves the title and it would cap off a fantastic year perfectly if we were world champions".

Notwithstanding which opponents they play in the final, La Liga’s leaders will be strong favourites to win the tournament.
