West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has decided against speculating about Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher’s future and said that any decision is up to the player.

Fletcher is believed to be considering his future at Old Trafford after making only 12 appearances for the club this season under new manager Louis van Gaal.

La Liga side Valencia are keen on signing the experienced Scottish international and it has been claimed that a transfer fee of around €2m will be enough to get a deal done.

West Brom boss Tony Pulis expressed his interest in signing him yesterday and West Ham are also believed to be following developments at Old Trafford.

However, Allardyce refused to speculate on Fletcher’s future and said that it is up to the midfielder to make a decision.
