The president of Angolan outfit Kabuscorp, Benedict Gangamba, has revealed that they are negotiating a deal to take former Barcelona attacking midfielder Ronaldinho to the club.

The World Cup winner is currently playing at Mexican club Queretaro and his contract with the side expires in the summer.

The veteran midfielder has made 14 appearances in all competitions for the Mexican outfit, scoring three goals and providing two assists, in what has been a troubled spell.

Ronaldinho will be a free agent in the summer and Gangamba said that Kabuscorp are confident of negotiating a deal to sign the Brazilian legend at the end of the season.

“It is a certainty that Ronaldinho will join us”, Gangamba told Angola's national broadcaster, striking a confident note.

“We are still negotiating and I say that, because he still needs to honour his contract [at Queretaro] before he joins us in June.”

Ronaldinho's former Brazilian team-mate Rivaldo also had a short stint at Kabuscorp in 2012.

The 34-year-old is a two-time La Liga winner with Barcelona and also won the Champions League in 2006, amongst various other honours.

He also won the World Cup with Brazil in 2002 and was declared the FIFA World Player of the Year twice in a row in 2004 and 2005.
