Burnley custodian Tom Heaton believes that his team will take confidence from their recent performances when they visit Stamford Bridge this weekend.

The Premier League strugglers haven't been all disappointing this season, in spite of being currently placed 19th in the league table and having lost four of their last five matches.

The former Manchester United man therefore feels that his team will have nothing to worry about when they face league leaders Chelsea tomorrow.

Recalling their previous game against the Pensioners, which was also their first league game of the season, Heaton revealed that their opponents were fantastic that night and might be the same this time around as well.

However, having recently managed a brave performance against Manchester United, the Clarets can go there with their heads held high, Heaton feels.

“Chelsea are a great side and when we had our first Premier League game, they were excellent that night", Heaton told his club's official site.

"But we’ll go there full of positivity after a good performance at Manchester United

“We felt we deserved something out the game, it wasn’t to be, but hopefully we can take that sort of performance into the weekend.

"I think we’ve improved since when we played Chelsea on the opening day and we look forward to trying to stamp our game on to it and hopefully get a result."

The 28-year-old is also confident that if his side continue doing the right things consistently, a time will come when they will finally be able to reap the benefits.

“If you perform well over a long period then while there are certain things you can’t control then it will pay you back."
