Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling is hoping to soon extend his contract at Anfield.
Sterling has been one of the standout performers for Liverpool this season having scored six goals and assisted a further five in his 24 Premier League appearances so far.
The England international’s existing contract with Liverpool ends in June 2017 and his performances under manager Brendan Rodgers have led to the club trying to tie Sterling to a long-term contract amid speculation of interest from Real Madrid in the youngster.
Still only 20, the midfielder has made over hundred appearances for the Merseyside giants and has scored 22 goals and assisted a further 21 goals, which has seen him become indispensable from Rodgers’ starting line-up.
The Jamaica-born youngster has also become a starter for Roy Hodgson’s England national team and has made 13 senior appearances so far.
