Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes that the large pitch at the Ataturk Stadium will suit his side perfectly and insists they are heading to Turkey full of confidence.

The Reds are due to step out onto the Ataturk turf tomorrow evening as they lock horns with Besiktas in the second leg of their round of 32 Europa League tie.

Liverpool won the first leg 1-0 at Anfield courtesy of a late Mario Balotelli penalty, however Besiktas are confident of troubling Rodgers' men on home turf, even though they will need to score.

The Northern Irishman though feels the big pitch at the Ataturk will suit his young, quick team, as they look to carve open the Black Eagles.

"For us to go there and play with a lot of young players and a new squad, against a good team, we'll look forward to. It's a big pitch, which suits our style", Rodgers told a press conference.

"If you look at the size of the field, in terms of the Premier League it would be the third-biggest pitch.

"So in terms of the pace that we have in our team, and the movement and technical players that we have, the pitch should suit us quite well."

Rodgers also feels that his players will be able to cope with the fierce atmosphere that Besiktas' fans will generate on the night.

"We're looking forward to the atmosphere – it should be really good. And we want to complete the job. The confidence is very high in the team."

Liverpool won their last game, beating Southampton at the weekend.
