Veteran manager Louis van Gaal insists that a club with the reputation of Manchester United have to handle all the additional pressure of playing any team in the league.

The Red Devils squandered three points against Swansea City on Saturday, going down 2-1 to Garry Monk's side at the Liberty Stadium, thus allowing the Swans to complete the double over them this season.

Though disappointed with the loss, the Dutch manager insists that they have enough firepower to bounce back from the defeat because that is what a club like Manchester United are expected to do.

With the pressure of a top four finish also creeping in, Van Gaal insists that his team won't panic and will keep their heads down to finish the season on a high.

"I think every game that Manchester United plays, you have to manage that, because this is a top club", Van Gaal told his club's official site.

"The players and the manager have to manage that. It's normal."

The top four fight has indeed heated up as Van Gaal knows, with the teams from third to seventh closing in on each other with every single match.

While the loss against Swansea pushed Manchester United down to fourth spot in the table with 47 points, it allowed Arsenal to go up to third by virtue of a win against Crystal Palace.

Southampton placed fifth have 46 points, while Liverpool have 45 and Tottenham 44. All are closing in on the Red Devils.
