Nacer Chadli believes that Tottenham Hotspur were "not sharp enough" this evening against Fiorentina, after slipping to a 2-0 defeat in Italy to exit the Europa League, expressing the side's frustration as they feel they are better than the Italians.

Tottenham went toe-to-toe with Fiorentina from the off and quickly found themselves enjoying the lion's share of the possession in Florence.

However, neither side could find a breakthrough in the first half, with it being 0-0 at the break.

But Fiorentina quickly edged ahead in the second half, with Mario Gomez pulling away from Federico Fazio in the 54th minute, getting onto a through ball to score.

And La Viola added a second in the 71st minute when Mohamed Salah caught Jan Vertonghen dithering on the ball, the Egyptian then robbing it from the defender and firing it past Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
