Manchester United target Marquinhos has declared himself perfectly happy at French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal made a push to snap up the Brazilian centre-back in the winter transfer window, but hit a brick wall with PSG not willing to consider his departure.

Manchester United have been tipped to return for Marquinhos in the summer and the former Roma man has admitted that interest from the English giants was something he found pleasing.

But the defender is not pushing to quit the Parc des Princes and says he is happy at PSG, feeling they are doing what any young player would want their club to do.

Marquinhos told L'Equipe: "I am under contract until, 2018 I think.

"I feel that they are a club that are growing a little more every day. And that is great for a young player."

The 20-year-old, who started his career in the youth ranks at Corinthians, was snapped up by PSG from Italian outfit Roma in July 2013, costing the French club a fee of around €32m.

He helped PSG win the Ligue 1 title during his first campaign in the French capital.
