Former England international Danny Mills feels that the League Cup final might break or make Tottenham Hotspur’s season.
In a repeat of the 2008 final, Tottenham and Chelsea will face each other in the League Cup final later today at Wembley. Spurs won the 2008 showdown, but Chelsea have an enviable record in big finals in recent years.
Mauricio Pochettino, who has earned plaudits for his work at White Hart Lane, will be looking to win his first piece of silverware in England and Spurs fans are naturally excited about a day out at Wembley.
However, Mills feels Spurs have more to lose in the game than Chelsea. The former Leeds full-back believes it is a big game for Tottenham and the result could affect their whole season.
He added that in the past teams have lost momentum in the league after winning the trophy and stressed that Pochettino must remain careful as the League Cup final result might make or break their campaign.

“Not just whether they win or lose, but it could affect their whole season.
“They are still clambering to try and get into that fourth spot as well. If they win, we see teams take the foot of their gas; if they lose, it could affect them so the manager has to be very careful.
