Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino admits that his side are "lucky" to have Hugo Lloris, after the goalkeeper produced a wonder save to secure a 3-2 win for Spurs over Swansea tonight.

It took only seven minutes for Tottenham to take the lead, with Nacer Chadli striking for the home side to put them in firm control.

Swansea though drew level in the 19th minute, with Ki Sung-yeung finding the back of the net for the visitors.

Spurs then took the lead again in the 51st minute through Ryan Mason, before Andros Townsend then struck on the hour mark to put the hosts in control and seemingly on course for victory at White Hart Lane.

But Swansea would not lie down and set up a grand stand finish when former Spurs player Gylfi Sigurdsson volleyed home in the 89th minute.

It was backs to the wall for Spurs as Swansea pushed hard for an equaliser. However, Garry Monk's men could find none and slipped to a 3-2 defeat in London to Spurs, being denied a leveller by Lloris, who produced a superb last-minute save.

"I am happy, but the feeling is a bit strange because in the last minutes they had chances", Pochettino was quoted as saying by the BBC.

"It was a great save in the last minute. He [Lloris] is one of the best in the world and we are lucky we have him with us."

Overall, Pochettino is simply delighted his side took all three points from the fixture.

"The three points and victory were very important – to feel like a winner again after the game.

"It was difficult after the final to lift the players and supporters, but we showed big character today and played well. It was a great performance."
