Neil Redfearn admits that he can do nothing more than leave his request for signings in the hands of Leeds United's powerbrokers.

The 49-year-old, whose role at Elland Road is that of a head coach, has handed a number of lists of players to the club's chairman Andrew Umbers.

Redfearn wants to make loan additions and has stated his belief that a wealth of players should be available at present, making Leeds' inability to answer their head coach's call all the more baffling.

It has been claimed that the Leeds board are against any further signings this season and Redfearn admits he is powerless to bring players in on his own.

"I'm only part of the process. I was asked, and rightly so, which is great, because they've included me in it, to come up with a list of players who might help us and be better than what we've got", the Leeds boss told a press conference.

"I've done that and refreshed the list, came up with a new list and gave it to Andrew.

"But it's up to them whether we bring players in or we don't. That's not my call."

Leeds have pulled to 13 points clear of the Championship relegation zone due to a positive run of form in recent months and the Whites look all but clear of danger.

Redfearn's side have recruited heavily from the Italian market this season, but the club's Italian owner, Massimo Cellino, has stepped down from his role to fight a Football League ban.
