Italian champions Juventus are ready to rekindle their interest in Everton’s Belgian international striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Bianconeri were interested in the forward last summer before the Belgian completed his permanent switch to Goodison Park from Chelsea.

Though he has failed to reach the heights of the previous season, the 21-year-old has continued to remain a crucial cog in Roberto Martinez's team and has scored 18 goals in all competitions for Everton this season.

Juventus are keen to add a high quality striker to their squad for next term and Lukaku’s name has again cropped up in discussion in Turin for a possible summer move for the player.

His performances in the Europa League, where he scored eight goals this season, have really caught the eye of his potential suitors.

According to Belgian news outlet Voetbalnieuws, the Juventus hierarchy are ready to rekindle their interest in Lukaku and are pondering over making a move for the 21-year-old at the end of the season.

However, Lukaku is not their primary target and Everton are also expected to be tough negotiators for a player who they bought for a sum of around £28m last summer.

The likes of Radamel Falcao and Edinson Cavani are believed to be Juventus’ primary striking targets for the next transfer window.
