Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn has handed a list of transfer targets for the summer to the board at Elland Road, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam is one name on the list, with Redfearn hoping to add the former Liverpool man's experience to the centre of the park.

Also included on the list is QPR winger Matt Phillips, with Redfearn hoping to address his long-standing need for a genuine winger.

And the third known name on the list is Burnley defender Jason Shackell, who counts Redfearn's former club Barnsley amongst his old sides.

It is not clear whether Leeds will act on any of Redfearn's recommendations, with the head coach not in charge of transfer policy at Elland Road, that remit falling to the club's owner Massimo Cellino and sporting director Nicola Salerno.

Redfearn's own future at the club is also unknown, with his contract expiring and no talks having taken place on extending it yet.

The former midfielder is expected to hold talks with Cellino over the coming days to thrash out his future at Elland Road.

Redfearn led Leeds to a finish of 15th in the Championship this season.
