Liverpool linked Danish defender Simon Kjaer is keen to wait until the end of the season to make a decision on his future but has stressed that he is happy at Lille.

Kjaer is one of the most crucial members of Rene Girard’s squad at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy but it has been speculated that Lille are facing a cash crunch at the moment which could force them to sell the defender this summer.




Liverpool are believed to be monitoring the situation at Lille and are keen to take advantage of the club’s situation to take Kjaer to England this summer.

Along with Liverpool there are also Juventus and AC Milan who are keeping tabs on the Dane in France and the pair are ready to make their move if he becomes available.
 


Kjaer has revealed that a decision on his future will only be take after the lights are out on the season but stressed that he is happy at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, revealing a strong bond with the club.

“I have not spoken to my representatives”, Kjaer told Le Figaro.

“I want to wait until the end of the season. I feel very good here and I am in no hurry to leave.

“This is the first time in my career that I am feeling so happy at a club.”

The defender has clocked up 42 appearances in all competitions for Lille this season.
