Barcelona star Neymar is set to sign a new contract with the club that will extend his stay at the Camp Nou until the summer of 2020 and make him the second highest paid player at the club after Lionel Messi, according to Catalan daily Sport.

Neymar joined the Catalan giants in the summer of 2013 and after enduring a difficult inaugural campaign in Europe, his game came to the fore this season.

The Brazil international contributed 39 goals and 11 assists in all competitions to Barcelona’s cause as they collected a treble of the league title, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.

He is part of Barcelona’s front three consisting of Messi, Luis Suarez and himself, and together they notched 122 goals this term.

Neymar will be rewarded with a pay rise and a new contract that will see him at the club until 2020.
