West Ham defender Winston Reid is delighted with his side's 3-0 win at Liverpool today, which he feels was fully deserved.

It took only two minutes for West Ham to take the lead at Anfield, stunning Liverpool as Manuel Lazini finished from close range from an Aaron Cresswell cross.

Martin Skrtel was at fault for the goal, with his poor header allowing Cresswell to pick out Lazini in the box.

Liverpool's other centre-back, Dejan Lovren, then made his own error which allowed the Hammers to make it 2-0.

Lovren made a mess of controlling the ball, allowing Lazini to steal it and cross, with the clearance then falling to Mark Noble, who drilled it into the back of the net to make it 2-0 in the 28th minute.

Liverpool were then given a mountain to climb when Philippe Coutinho was sent off in the 51st minute, picking up his second yellow card of the game.

West Ham were reduced to ten men in the 78th minute, Noble sent off, but the Hammers were still in control.

And they proved it by scoring a third at the death, Diafra Sakho striking.

For Reid, West Ham's 3-0 win was fully deserved and he was quoted as saying by the BBC: "I think that means a lot for the fans, we haven't won here in a long time. Our last two games have been poor so come here and win 3-0 is great.

"We did the simple stuff right – we took chances when we had them and limited Liverpool to a couple of chances.

"The referee felt there was red card for Mark Noble. He was brilliant today apart from that card – I think the referee saw it as different from the players", Reid continued.

And the defender is pleased to add a win at Anfield to victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, saying: "We've won at Arsenal and Liverpool now which are two very difficult places to come and get results at."
