Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has urged his side to focus on the upcoming north London derby on Sunday, following their 2-1 triumph over Anderlecht in the Europa League last night.

Goals from Harry Kane and Mousa Dembele helped Spurs to edge out their Belgian counterparts at White Hart Lane.

The win also enabled Tottenham to top Group J of the continental tournament with seven points from four games, owing to Monaco’s 1-1 draw with Qarabag in the group’s other match of the night.

And Pochettino, who was satisfied with Spurs moving atop their Europa League group, urged his side to concentrate on their fixture with Arsenal at the weekend however.

“Our objective before the game was to take the three points and to go top of the table”, he told the club’s official site.

“But now we need to focus, there is no time to think too much because in two days we need to play the north London derby and we know this is a very important game for us.”

Tottenham, who were ousted from the League Cup by Arsenal in September, are currently fifth in the Premier League with 20 points from 11 outings, five points and three places adrift of their fierce north London rivals.
