Casper Sloth is hoping to be involved for Leeds United in their friendly away against Wycombe Wanderers this Friday night.

Whites head coach Steve Evans has arranged the friendly at Adams Park as he aims to keep his squad match sharp over the international break, being wary of the effect of giving his charges an extended spell off.

Sloth was an unused substitute in Leeds' 1-0 win over Cardiff City recently, while he played for the club's Under-21s on Monday afternoon against Coventry City, scoring in a 2-1 win.

The Denmark midfielder is hoping that Evans gives him a chance to feature against Wycombe, with him then using the opportunity to do his best to catch the head coach's eye and push for a first team opportunity.

"Of course [I’m hoping to be involved at Wycombe]", he told LUTV.

"I've played a few other friendly games for the first team, but I really haven't got in.

"So we'll see about that. If I play I'll do that, otherwise I'll just keep doing what I do here [with the Under-21s]", Sloth added.

Leeds snapped up Sloth in the summer of 2014 from Danish side AGF and handed him a three-year contract at Elland Road.
