Leeds United head coach Steve Evans says that talks are continuing over the Whites potentially signing midfielder Liam Bridcutt on loan from Sunderland.
Evans had been hoping to have a deal for Bridcutt over the line, but the move has been held up and complicated by interest from both Cardiff City and Reading.
But the Leeds boss insists that talks are still under way and the option of taking Bridcutt to Elland Road is not off the table.
Asked about Bridcutt at a press conference this morning, Evans replied: "I know people are still talking.
"[Leeds chairman] Mr Cellino was talking to Liam Bridcutt's representatives the other day", he added.

Evans has scheduled a friendly for Leeds tomorrow night away at Wycombe Wanderers, but it appears unlikely Bridcutt could be involved unless a deal is quickly signed off.
The Scot is desperate to keep his side as match sharp as possible over the international break, rather than allowing them time off.
Bridcutt meanwhile has yet to play for Sunderland this season and is eyeing regular first team football on a loan switch.
