Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is looking to sign Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder in January, according to Turkish sports daily Fantaik.
The Dutch international, whose present contract with Galatasaray runs until 2018, has a release clause of €20m.
And Mourinho is prepared to trigger the clause in the upcoming winter transfer window as he looks to turn Chelsea's season around, it has been claimed.
Sneijder previously played under Mourinho during the manager’s spell at Inter Milan.
The Portuguese guided the San Siro outfit to a treble in 2010, with Sneijder being a key man in his squad.

Mourinho’s present employers Chelsea are currently struggling in the Premier League with just 11 points from 12 games, and the 52-year-old has identified Sneijder as a possible solution to their problems.
The attacking midfielder, who joined Galatasaray from Inter in 2013, has thus far scored 38 goals in 117 games for the Turkish giants.
The 31-year-old has also represented the Netherlands 119 times, scoring 29 goals in the process.
