Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will take a view on Daniel Sturridge tomorrow after the striker returned to full training earlier this week.

Sturridge is continuing his comeback bid, but Klopp feels after a lengthy absence there is no way the striker can be expected to be at 100 per cent.

Klopp is now going to run the rule over the striker ahead of Saturday's trip to take on Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Speaking at a press conference, Klopp said: "He is as fit as he can be after this long break. He trained with us, of course he is not 100 per cent and now we have to see.

"I don't know what I will do tomorrow. His quality is outstanding, we don't have to talk about this", he continued.

"But everybody needs training and I think today it was the third full exercise with the team after four and a half, five weeks, break.

"As a striker sometimes five minutes are enough. I have to decide this tomorrow. I start to think about this after the press conference", the German concluded.

Klopp intends to take Sturridge to Manchester City on Saturday, but is unsure whether the striker will be involved, as he looks to find the right balance to ease the England international back into action and avoid him suffering an injury setback.

Liverpool will be aiming to bounce back from a home loss to Crystal Palace before the international break by stunning Manuel Pellegrini's men.
